About

Brian K. Mason was born in the town of Hendersonville, North Carolina in 1982 to a strong Southern Christian family.  He grew up in a mixture of small towns in western North Carolina but moved from town to town every few years finding his way to both Kentucky and Tennessee.

Early on Brian showed a keen interest in writing, starting his written path through science fiction short stories.  Though his heart was set on travelling the stars Brian ended up finding a more suited home among the ranks of historians.  Beginning while he was in fifth grade all the way through his eventual graduation from college Brian studied and worked alongside park rangers at Fort Pickens National Seashore on Santa Rosa Island as a volunteer to survey various historical sites on the island.  This developed into a passion leading to Brian eventually obtaining an Associates Degree in history with minors in English and Political Science and a Bachelor’s Degree in Archaeology with a minor in history.

Brian is a recognized North Carolina Scholar and has devoted a great deal of time to the preservation of history.  After moving to Canada in 2006, Brian was a founding member and subsequent president in 2011 of a living history association focusing on the education of the public on the events of the Second World War.  Brian met his bride Daina while living in Canada and was married in 2014.

Brian continues his work as a historical preservationist, inspirational speaker and an avid science fiction fan.  Aside from this Brian enjoys the great outdoors and animals of all sorts.  Otherwise Brian is a certified mountaineer, skydiver, gun enthusiast and martial artist.
